Catholic priest Father Maurizio Patriciello speaks on November 14, 2013 in the southern Italian town of Caivano with the mothers of children who died following a cancer in the zone between Naples and Caserta, an area called “Land of Fires” or “Triangle of Death” due to the toxic fumes produced by burning waste. Thousands protested on November 16 in Naples over illegal waste dumps blamed on the mafia that generate toxic fumes. The protest movement is calling for the decontamination of polluted land and water and blames the mafia for creating hundreds of illegal dumps in the area. AFP PHOTO / MARIO LAPORTA
