Iranian Reihaneh Jabbari on trial in Teheran, Iran, 15 December 2008. According to the allegations, Jabbari killed her rapist with a knife in an act of self-defence in July of 2007. The court sentenced her to death for committing murder. According to Iranian laws, an execution could be avoided with a pardon from the family of the victim. This has been rejected multiple times and the family demands revenge. Photo: Goalara Sajadieh/dpa
